Main purpose of the role

Simmons Adaptive is seeking an interim contentious construction lawyer to support our Dispute Resolution practice group at Simmons & Simmons.

Person specification

  • England & Wales qualified lawyer with proven experience in construction disputes, gained within a leading private practice.
  • Extensive UK domestic court work experience.
  • Ideally experience with building safety related disputes.
  • Strong experience in contentious construction law, including litigation, arbitration and adjudication.
  • Experience with standard form construction contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC, etc.).
  • Problem solver with a collaborative approach.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast moving environment.
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively to tight deadlines; excellent organisation with the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
