The working hours for this role are expected to be28.5 hours per week as a Teaching Assistant and 2.5 hours per week as an MDSA. The start date for this role is14 September 2026. Breakfast and After School Club hours are also available and desirable.

Castle Mead School and Nursery is seeking to appoint a committed and highly motivated Teaching Assistant (KS2) to join their team. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and committed individual to join our school team as a Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisory Assistant. In this varied role, you will support pupils’ learning and development both in the classroom and during lunchtime, helping to create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all children. You will work closely with teachers to support the delivery of the curriculum, provide tailored assistance to individual pupils, and help children develop confidence, independence, and resilience. During lunchtime, you will supervise pupils in the dining hall and playground, promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing, and enjoyment throughout the midday break. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families, supporting the school’s values and high expectations for behaviour and achievement. You will contribute to safeguarding, health and safety, and the welfare of children at all times, ensuring a nurturing and secure learning environment.
