VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

Location: Plymouth

Basic Salary: Up to £34,000 Depending on Experience

OTE: £40,000

Hours: 42.5 Hours per Week – Monday – Friday & Saturday Mornings on a Rota

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing customer vehicles to manufacturer standards whilst delivering exceptional levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Completing vehicle health checks and identifying additional work
  • Carrying out repairs efficiently to achieve first-time fixes
  • Following manufacturer and Health & Safety procedures
  • Maintaining workshop equipment and ensuring a safe working environment
  • Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture
  • Communicating with customers where required to assist with technical explanations
  • Ensuring every vehicle is treated with the highest level of care

About You

  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Automotive Technician or Service Technician
  • Strong technical, diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Own tools and toolbox
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • MOT Tester qualification advantageous but not essential
