Receptionist/Administrative Assistant – Orthodontics

Are you a receptionist or administrator looking for an interesting role in orthodontics?
We have a great opportunity for a receptionist to join our busy and friendly team. This position is available part time, 3 days per week; Days to be discussed during interview.
Please note, this position will be based at Dorset County Hospital but there may be a requirement to work at Bournemouth Hospital.
Right to Work in the UK:This role is not availablefor Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application. Unfortunately, we are unable to support visa applications for this post in line with UKVI regulations.
Main duties of the job
You will:
Provide comprehensive reception / administrative support to the Orthodontic department service in achieving its objectives.
Assist and support the team to ensure the delivery of a high quality service. This will require the use of good clerical, communication and interpersonal skills.
- To liaise with patients, clinical staff and medical staff both within and outside the Trust to ensure patients are seen within nationally agreed waiting times.
- To provide an efficient, friendly and caring booking, advice and information service to anyone calling the Orthodontic department.

Person Specification
Knowledge & Experience
- Experience in dealing with telephone enquiries
- Understanding of Confidentiality
- Recent & relevant experience in an office environment in a clerical/admin capacity
- Level 3 or equivalent education required I.E NVQ Level 3
- Previous experience in a Healthcare environment
- Previous computer experience in a Windows environment
Education, Qualifications & Training
- General education to GCSE standard or equivalent, including Maths and English
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work without supervision
- Ability to work as part of a team
