Job Description:

Children’s Residential Social Care Workers are urgently required on behalf of the Northern Health & Social Care Trust for Children’s Residential Homes based in Ballymena andColeraine.

Due to the complex needs of the children and young people supported within this service, CPI Safety Intervention Training is an essential requirement for this role. The residential homes support children with severe learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge, therefore candidates must be confident in using safe, person-centred intervention techniques when required.

If you do not already hold a valid CPI Safety Intervention qualification, First Choice can provide this training prior to your start date, allowing you to meet this essential requirement alongside the other criteria for the role.

These are temporary ongoing positions with a minimum duration of 3 months, offering a variety of shifts on a rota basis, including days, nights and sleepovers, Monday to Sunday.

Pay Rate:

? £14.06 – £22.49 per hour, depending on the shift worked.

What You’ll Be Doing:

? Providing person-centred care and support to children and young people.

? Building trusting relationships while promoting independence and wellbeing.

? Supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that challenge.

? Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

? Maintaining accurate records and following safeguarding procedures.

Essential Requirements:

? 2 years’ recent, relevant experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities or behaviours that challenge.

? 4 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.

? NISCC registration, or willingness to apply.

? A full UK driving licence, access to a car and business insurance.

? CPI Safety Intervention Training (evidence required), or willingness to complete training provided by First Choice before starting.

? An Enhanced Access NI Check, which will be completed prior to your start date.
