Senior Capital Development Officer (Public Sector)
VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a Senior Capital Development Officer for 6 months initially with the possibility of extension. This will based in their Antrim office.
Responsibilities
The post holder is responsible to the Capital Development Manager for the effective management and delivery of allocated capital projects in accordance with the Department’s project management procedures and in compliance with applicable statutory obligations and requirements.
- Assist the Capital Development Managers in developing tender documents and contract administration procedures to keep up to date with the latest industry standards.
- Assist the Capital Development Managers in identifying efficiencies in the Service Area.
- Maintain professional knowledge within project management and make recommendations for improvements as and when required.
- To be responsible to the Capital Development Managers for the accurate and timely production of all information required for Council, Committee, Department or other reports, official returns and performance management as required.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant built environment discipline (i.e. architecture, project management, quantity surveyor)
- Possess registration or full current corporate membership by examination of a relevant professional body or be willing to obtain this within 2 years of accepting the post.
A minimum of 3 consecutive years’ experience working in a built environment in project management to include a minimum of 3 of the following:
- Delivery of capital projects
- Preparation of tender documents
- Compliance with project budgets
- Coordinating project teams
- Building partnerships with a range of stakeholders
- Full current driving licence or, if a disability prevents driving, access to a suitable form of transport to enable duties of the post to be carried out in full.
Desirable
- Additional relevant qualifications e.g. Post graduate qualification in Project Management
- Working knowledge of H&S, Preventative Maintenance and QA Systems
- Negotiation with consultants / contractors on professional services / works / contractual issues
Remunerationc£51,217 per annum, plus discount benefits.
