In this role, you will perform inspection activities, support managers in solving production challenges, and make sure every product meets the highest standards. Your role will include:Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections using precision metrology equipment including: verniers, height-gauges, multi-axis Measurement ArmsVerify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer quality requirementsComplete and support First Article Inspection (FAI) reportsRaise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and investigate customer concernsMaintain accurate inspection and calibration records in line with national standardsDriving continuous improvement across the businessAssist management with:Maintaining production throughput, meeting customer demandIdentifying and addressing 'bottlenecks' affecting smooth operationsTraining shop-floor personnel on quality requirements and standards
SkillsExperience in a quality inspection and / or technician roleConfident with selection and use of measuring equipment i.e., verniers, height gauges, multi-axis Measurement ArmAbility to interpret technical / engineering drawingsKnowledge of management systems, i.e., ISO 9001, 3834, AS 9100 (AS9102), or otherAppreciation and awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental practicesA confident communicator who can work well with managers, customers, and colleaguesSomeone with a keen eye for detail
