Are you passionate about helping people overcome barriers and achieve their potential? Love working with people and making a difference? Join our team and support adults to build confidence, develop new skills and take positive steps towards employment, education or training.

What you’ll be doing

  • supporting unemployed adults across North Devon, with a particular focus on communities where employment opportunities can be more difficult to access, such as Ilfracombe, Holsworthy and other areas.
  • you’ll be part of a team of 4 employability coaches across Devon working for Exeter & North Devon Colleges group.
  • working with adults who may face challenges such as low confidence, anxiety, caring responsibilities or long-term unemployment.
  • you’ll help individuals build confidence, develop employability skills and progress into education, employment or training.
  • delivering engaging group activities and one-to-one coaching, covering areas such as motivation, job searching, CV writing, interview skills and workplace readiness.
  • work closely with community organisations, Jobcentre Plus, referral partners and employers to create opportunities and positive progression routes for local residents.
