Teaching Associate – German Linguistics
Salary: £35,608 to £47,389 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
Location: University Park.

Employment: Part-time, fixed-term post starting as soon as possible (preferably September 2026) and continuing until 30 June 2027.
Responsibilities:
- Teach in the German Section, focusing on German linguistics.
- Convene and deliver teaching, including associated assessment duties, notably the module “Language and Social Media in Germany and beyond” (final year).
- Supervise undergraduate dissertations in German linguistics.
- Carry out a range of administrative duties to support the operation of the School.
Qualifications:
- Hold a PhD (complete or thesis pending) or equivalent experience in German and/or linguistics or another relevant specialism.
- Familiarity with the UK’s or another English-speaking university sector is desirable.
