Healthcare Assistant – Clifton Dialysis Unit

Location: Lytham St. Annes, GB, FY8 1PB.

The clinic will relocate to the Blackpool area in September 2026.

As a Healthcare Assistant at our Clifton Dialysis Unit, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care following Diaverum procedures, ultimately improving our patients’ quality of life. We are committed to your professional growth and will provide comprehensive training, including on‑job training, e‑learning, and access to our in‑house education program, “d Academy.”

This role requires working clinically in a renal setting. All positions at Diaverum are subject to a satisfactory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check as part of our recruitment process.

Your Responsibilities

• Maintain clean equipment following proper training.
• Prepare supplies and packs for treatment.
• Conduct health checks with patients before and after dialysis.
• Escort patients to clinical and waiting areas.
• Serve refreshments during treatments.

Our Requirements

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
• Minimum NVQ level 2 in Health, Social Care or equivalent (preferably in progress to level 3).
• Ideally, previous experience in a hospital and healthcare setting.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A positive and dynamic approach to delivering safe and effective care.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with fluency in English.

What We Offer

• Full‑time position, 37.5 hours per week.
• Monday to Saturday, shift hours from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. (no nights or Sunday work).
• Competitive salary of up to £25,086 depending on experience.
• Overtime paid at time and a half after completing full‑time hours (150 hours every four weeks).
