Job Overview

Flame Health Audiology have been instructed to recruit an Audiology Area Manager for a hybrid position based in Nottingham, with travel across the East Midlands and Anglia. Offering a salary of up to £59,000, plus monthly and quarterly performance-related bonus schemes, this role will suit an experienced audiology or optical professional who can combine commercial growth with multi-site team leadership.

About the Job

This is a field-based leadership role covering partner practices and a team of clinical and commercial audiologists and Hearing Care Assistants. You will work closely with independent optical partners to support new site launches, deliver open days in the local community and ensure a smooth go-live experience, using a proven six-week onboarding plan.

The role also involves building commercial relationships, shaping tailored growth strategies and driving full hearing assessments through local marketing plans and team engagement. You will monitor performance through KPIs, ROI and quarterly business reviews, while identifying new partner opportunities to support expansion. Alongside this, you will lead and develop the team through monthly visits and two-weekly virtual meetings, promote clinical excellence, support recruitment and onboarding, and collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Recruitment, Professional Services, New Business and the Senior Leadership Team.

About the Employer

Our client is a purpose-driven hearing care business working with independent optical partners across the region. They place patients and people at the centre of their work and are focused on quality, care and long-term growth.

The organisation is described as one of the UK’s most respected and fastest-growing hearing care providers, with a supportive and innovative environment where colleagues work closely with senior leaders and specialist teams. It offers the opportunity to contribute to regional expansion while helping to shape the future of hearing care.

What We Are Looking For

A background in audiology or optical is essential. You will also need a proven track record in business development and multi-site people leadership, together with strong commercial awareness and operational delivery experience.

The role calls for someone who has managed and developed clinical teams, built effective stakeholder relationships and influenced colleagues across multiple internal departments. Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills are important, as is the ability to delegate strategically and work collaboratively to improve both team and partner performance.

Who This Role Suits

This role will suit someone ready to take on a wider regional remit, with the confidence to lead people, develop business and strengthen partner relationships. It will appeal to a candidate who wants to make a measurable difference through service quality, team development and growth.

Job Location

The role is based in Nottingham with hybrid working and regional travel across the East Midlands and Anglia. Nottingham offers a well-connected city location with access to the wider regional network.
