Main duties of the job

• Support the daily running of the UIU by taking part/leading on daily Safety Huddles in the UIU.
• Carry out specific clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency.
• Participate in the planning and delivery of individual care provided by the multi-disciplinary team.
• Supervise junior staff members/student and delegate appropriately.
• Support senior staff members and management team in service delivery.

Person specification

Education, Qualification & Training

• Registered Nurse (Adult Nursing)
• Willingness to undertake in‑house trainings to perform urological investigations and treatments
• Recognised urethral catheterisation training

Experience

• Previous experience of working at registered nurse level
• Previous experience of working for surgical or urological department

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work within a team
• Ability to work within professionals’ standards

Special Circumstances

• Ability to work flexibly and to promote innovative ways of working
• All staff members are expected to work across trust sites
