Senior Pupil Services Officer – Ladysmith Infant School, Exeter

Contract Term: Part Time – Fixed Term until 11/04/2027

Salary: Grade SC 3 – Grade SCP8-11. Starting salary £22,646 (FTE £27,709)

Hours: 35 hours per week (8:30 am – 4:00 pm)

Term Time only: 39 weeks per year

Closing Date: 7 September 2026 9 am

Interview Date: 14 September 2026

We need an experienced administrator who is passionate about customer service and delivering the best for our community. The successful candidate will support a busy Primary Academy, providing high‑quality administrative support to leaders, teachers, pupils and parents. You will be an integral part of our pupil services team, welcoming visitors, handling inquiries, and maintaining our school systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing administrative tasks for the school and pupil services team
  • Providing efficient support to staff, pupils and parents
  • Acting as an expert on our school systems and processes
  • Maintaining a positive focus when problem‑solving and engaging in customer service
  • Contributing to operational activity and supporting school leadership

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Experience in administration, preferably in an educational or similar setting
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Customer‑service mindset with the ability to handle enquiries efficiently
  • Proficiency with school systems and administrative technology
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team within a dynamic environment

Desirable criteria may include:

  • Previous experience in pupil services or school administration
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Further education qualifications related to education or administration
