Job Description

Your role: The Head of Audience will lead the audience strategy across the Times Events portfolio, shifting the business from a campaign‑led model to a year‑round audience and community‑led approach.

This role is focused on growing, understanding, and retaining senior B2B audiences — turning individual events into long‑term professional communities. Working closely with the editorial, programming, marketing, and commercial teams, the role will ensure events attract the right people, deliver value to sponsors, and build long‑term audience loyalty.

Day to day you will:

  • Build, clean, and enrich complex CRM data to uncover deep audience insights, mapping out sector gaps and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with editorial and programming teams to align content themes with market trends and senior delegate priorities.
  • Create year‑round engagement channels, including exclusive newsletters, webinars, VIP networks, and reports to foster long‑term retention.
  • Coordinate targeted outreach strategies to invite and retain key delegates, investors, policymakers, and senior industry leaders.
  • Curate high‑value event audiences to ensure strong representation from key decision‑makers and commercial buyers.
  • Measure and analyse audience engagement metrics to continually elevate networking value and event quality across the portfolio.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Proven track record in audience development, CRM strategy, or executive‑level B2B event growth.
  • Background working with premium media brands, executive networks, or membership‑focused organisations.
  • Deep analytical capability to leverage CRM tools and data platforms for targeted audience segmentation and campaign optimisation.
  • Persuasive communication skills to comfortably collaborate with senior stakeholders, editorial leads, and key corporate sponsors.
  • Commercial acumen with a strategic mindset focused on delivering mutual value for sponsors and senior attendees alike.

Benefits:

  • Private medical insurance including coverage for pre‑existing conditions.
  • Discounted gym memberships, free ClassPass at Home, weekly in‑person/virtual exercise classes.
  • ‘Bikes for Work’ and ‘Electric Car’ scheme.
  • Up to 60% discount on Harper Collins books.
  • Maternity leave up to 18 weeks full basic salary & paternity leave up to 2 weeks.
  • Access to exclusive events and competitions with exciting brands such as talkSPORT, Virgin Radio UK & The Times; weekly virtual panel chats with top journalists and celebrities.
  • Access to wellbeing benefits such as EAP, physio/massage and counselling.
  • A generous pension scheme with employer contributions of up to 5%.
  • Wide range of training available, plus full LinkedIn Learning access.
  • 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays and up to 4 volunteering days per year.
