Overview

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is looking for a Foot Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to join our London engineering team, supporting a varied portfolio of commercial and critical environment sites across the city. The role offers variety, autonomy, career progression and exposure to high-profile client environments.

Key Responsibilities

You will carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, fault finding, minor works, compliance checks across electrical and building services systems. The role is suitable for someone with strong hands‑on electrical maintenance experience in commercial offices, facilities management, data centres, critical environments or multi‑site mobile maintenance.

  • Monitor plant performance and environmental conditions, identifying risks before they impact operations.
  • Complete site surveys and prepare work requests, method statements and risk assessments for planned tasks.
  • Maintain accurate service records, incident reports and maintenance documentation.
  • Escalate critical issues promptly and work with the Technical Services Manager to resolve root causes.
  • Deliver a professional, customer‑focused service and communicate clearly with clients, contractors and internal teams.
  • Be available for standby, overtime and callout support when required.

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong fault‑finding skills and the ability to work safely under pressure during reactive callouts.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, follow operating procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Full UK driving licence or ability to travel easily between London client sites.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer‑first approach.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Understanding of a CDM process.
  • Experience of H&S procedures & requirements (COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessment, etc.).
  • Health & Safety qualification (IOSH and/or NEBOSH).
  • Testing and inspection of electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols.
  • Understanding of monitoring of utilities and environmental programmes.
  • Authorization as an Authorised Person (AP15/12) or similar.
  • Water hygiene level 8 qualifications.
