About the Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional learning needs. You will help students access the curriculum, build confidence and develop independence through one-to-one and small group support while contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with special educational needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs where appropriate.
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and participation in classroom activities.
- Help maintain a safe, supportive and well‑organised learning environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and share relevant feedback with teaching staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- A caring, patient and adaptable approach to supporting pupils.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
- A genuine commitment to helping children achieve their potential.
- Knowledge of additional learning needs such as ASD, ADHD or speech and language needs is advantageous.
