Responsibilities
- Remove damaged panels or parts and repair or replace as required.
- Smooth out minor dents and prepare surfaces for refinishing.
- Fill small holes or rusted areas with resin, solder, or fillers.
- Fit new panels where repair isnt feasible.
- Prepare surfaces by removing old paint, rust, and sealant.
- Match colours, prime, and spray repaired areas with precision.
- Seal, wax, and finish surfaces to high standards.
- Mechanical and Electrical Trim (MET): strip and fit body parts.
- Work independently to complete full repairs adhering to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Body Repair Technician, with proficiency across MET, panel, and paint disciplines.
- Practical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- UK driving licence with minimal points.
- Reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Cardiff.
- Qualification in Vehicle Body Repair (IMI/NVQ) desirable but not essential; strong practical experience equally valued.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality workmanship consistently.
- Excellent team-working skills and a positive attitude.
