Social Worker – Families First Initial Support Team

Location: London Borough of Ealing

Pay: £39.04 per hour

Working pattern: Hybrid

Status: Locum opportunity

Role

You’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of children and families at the front door of Children’s Services, completing assessments, identifying levels of need and risk, and ensuring children receive the right support at the earliest opportunity. Working closely with partner agencies, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding children and promoting positive outcomes through timely, strengths-based interventions.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Child & Family Assessments.
• Complete Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries where required.
• Manage a complex caseload effectively.
• Work in partnership with schools, health professionals, police and other agencies.
• Prepare clear, high-quality reports and assessments.
• Ensure children and families receive timely and appropriate support.
• Maintain accurate case recordings and comply with statutory timescales.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker
• Registered with Social Work England
• Experience within Children’s Front Door, Assessment or Initial Response Teams
• Strong knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and safeguarding legislation
• Excellent assessment and risk management skills
