Overview Of The Role

Key duties

  • Providing personal care – including bathing, toileting, dressing and feeding assistance
  • Medication administration
  • Assisting and engaging in residents’ daily activities, hobbies or outings
  • Following care plan guidance alongside company policies and procedures
  • Developing an open, honest, and considerate working relationship with residents
  • Maintaining written daily records
  • Attending and completing training as required

Personal attributes

Being patient, reliable, flexible, a team player and a good communicator are key characteristics of a successful Night Social Care Worker.

Where will you work?

Woodlands is a large, detached home in Bartley village, the New Forest, providing residential support for six residents with learning disabilities and complex emotional and behavioural needs. The home offers a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where residents live together as one large family. 24‑hour support is provided by a trained and experienced team with a clear and structured approach. Activities include a variety of social, occupational and leisure programmes, local travel, trips to Southampton for shopping, cinema, swimming and horse‑riding, college attendance and pet care to foster responsibility.
