Overview
Adults Social Worker – Safeguarding & Mental Health, Wrexham County Borough Council. This is an ongoing temporary assignment within a local authority safeguarding and mental health team. Full-time hours; hybrid working after induction (3–4 days in the office, 1–2 days remote as suitable and required).
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of adults requiring safeguarding and mental health interventions.
- Undertake assessments, reviews and support planning in line with statutory duties.
- Complete safeguarding enquiries and risk assessments.
- Work collaboratively with health professionals, partner agencies and service providers.
- Support adults to achieve positive outcomes whilst promoting independence and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and timely case recordings and reports.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker.
- Registered with Social Care Wales.
- Experience working within Adult Social Care.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
- Experience working with individuals with mental health needs.
- Strong assessment, communication and partnership-working skills.
- Ability to manage a varied and complex caseload.
Working Arrangements
Full-time office attendance is required during induction. After induction, hybrid working with 3–4 days in the office and 1–2 days working remotely, subject to suitability and service requirements.
