ASD Teaching Assistant
Remedy Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic ASD Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school based in Greenwich.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience supporting children or young people with autism and additional needs. The school are looking for a calm, reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant who can support pupils with their learning, communication, behaviour and daily school routines.

The Role:
As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils with autism and a range of additional needs* Work 1:1 and with small groups to encourage engagement and progress* Help pupils access classroom activities and follow daily routines* Support communication, social interaction and emotional regulation* Assist teachers with learning resources and differentiated tasks* Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour* Provide a calm and consistent approach throughout the school day* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider support staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience supporting pupils with ASD or SEN* A patient, caring and resilient approach* Confidence supporting pupils with communication and learning needs* Good behaviour management and communication skills* Experience in a school, care, youth work, mentoring or childcare setting is desirable* A positive attitude and willingness to get involved* An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
