Role: Warehouse Operative Â
Location: Sawtry, Cambridge
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:30-16:30. Friday 08:00-16:00
Per Hour Rate: £12.71
Duties of a Warehouse Operative:
- Assemble university welcome bags according to detailed packing specifications.
- Pick, pack, and prepare stock accurately for dispatch to universities and educational institutions.
- Receive, unload, inspect, and store incoming deliveries.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure all welcome bags contain the correct items and meet company standards.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or damaged goods.
- Maintain accurate warehouse inventory records.
- Prepare pallets and shipments for courier collection and distribution.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely (training provided where applicable).
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with stock takes and inventory audits.
- Support seasonal increases in workload during university enrolment periods.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily production and dispatch targets.
What we would like from you:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or packing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to deadlines.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Previous experience with Pallets.
