About the Role
Immediate starts are available for experienced Class 1 Night Trunk Drivers looking for regular ongoing work based in Atherton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver seeking consistent night shifts, competitive rates of pay and ongoing work with an established transport operation.
As a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver, you'll complete trunk runs to distribution centres and transport hubs across the Midlands and the North of England using modern double-deck curtain-sided trailers. This role is primarily trunking work, making it ideal for drivers who enjoy straightforward driving with regular routes.
Start times are between 4:00pm and 8:00pm, offering consistent night work throughout the week.
Key Responsibilities
As a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver, your duties will include:
- Completing night trunk runs to RDCs, distribution centres and transport hubs across the Midlands and the North of England.
- Driving Class 1 (C+E) double-deck curtain-sided trailers.
- Opening and closing trailer curtains where required.
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks before and after each shift.
- Completing all transport documentation accurately.
- Maintaining communication with the transport office regarding delivery schedules.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and on time.
- Working in full compliance with Driver Hours, the Working Time Directive and all road transport legislation.
Requirements
We're looking for reliable and professional Class 1 Night Trunk Drivers who take pride in their work, work safely at all times and understand the importance of transport compliance.
To be considered, you'll need:
- A valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence held for a minimum of 1 year.
- At least 1 year's Class 1 driving experience.
- A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- No more than 6 penalty points.
- No endorsements resulting in a driving ban or disqualification.
- A good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- A professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach to work.
