Overview

Queenscourt Hospice is an independent charity that provides free, specialist palliative care for the people of Southport, Formby and West Lancashire. We care for patients with advanced progressive illnesses, helping them to achieve the best possible quality of life.

Salary: £26,253 – £28,245 per annum (Dependant on Experience)

Hours: 37.5 hours, Permanent

Location: Southport, Merseyside

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of an exciting range of fundraising activities and provide excellent customer service to Queenscourt Hospice supporters.
  • Utilise strong administration and organisational skills to aid the smooth running of the fundraising team.
  • Be a proactive, well organised team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Provide outstanding supporter care and act as the first point of contact for supporters, building personable and effective relationships.
  • Liaise with patients and families, staff, volunteers, corporate bodies and members of the public as required.
  • Contribute to the fundraising objectives and work with the fundraising team to achieve targets.
  • Note that there will be a requirement for social contact with patients and/or patient families; some out-of-hours work is essential.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with supporters, patients and families.
  • Strong administrative and organisational abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to liaise with staff, volunteers, corporate partners and members of the public.
  • Willingness to engage in occasional out-of-hours work.
