Overview
We are recruiting Qualified Social Workers to support older adults, adults with physical disabilities and those requiring psychiatric care in West Wales. The role uses a strengths‑based approach with Signs of Safety and is part of an organization transitioning to a through‑age and whole‑family model. Opportunities exist to specialise in an area of interest.
Responsibilities
- Provide SSWBA part3 and part4 care and support plans for adults and their carers.
- Collaborate with departments within the authority and partner agencies to develop and deliver services.
- Support the implementation of the through‑age and whole‑family model.
- Assist new staff in gaining competency and ownership of key areas of the role.
Qualifications
- Qualified Social Worker or newly qualified with a placement in social work.
- Ability to work with older adults, adults with physical disabilities and those with psychiatric needs.
- Fluency in Welsh preferred; a successful applicant without Welsh language skills will receive support to achieve the required standard within two years.
- Will undertake an Enhanced DBS check; previous convictions will be assessed on a case‑by‑case basis.

Salary and Benefits
- Grade9 pay (Newly Qualified) or Grade10 pay (Experienced); subject to 2026/2027 national pay award.
- Eligible for a market supplement of £200 per month, reviewed 31March2027.
- Hybrid working possible subject to conditions.
