Sister/Charge Nurse – Emergency Department

We are looking to recruit to complement our already excellent team of Band 7 Sisters/Charge Nurses to take an excellent team of Emergency Nurses into our new purpose-built Emergency Department. We provide all staff with educational development through our departmental education team and promote an active coaching environment for all staff. We also provide a Band 7 development package for new staff within the Emergency Department.
Main duties of the job
Are you an experienced Emergency Department Nurse looking to develop yourself within a senior sister role? Do you have experience as a Band 6 Nurse within ED? Are you committed to providing excellent patient care within a busy department, working within local and national targets? Job responsibilities
You will be expected to work on a rotational shift pattern to ensure we provide 24 hour senior nurse cover to the department and also support the Matrons in meeting the national 4-hour targets and ambulance turnaround times, as well as providing a good quality patient experience and excellent patient care.
The workload throughout the department is varied and interesting with no two days being the same. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, a high sense of professionalism, and a strong belief in the value of teamwork.
