Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
- Assess, monitor and record pupils’ progress to support achievement.
- Adapt teaching to meet the varying needs of all learners.
- Create a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents and carers.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching within a primary school setting.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
- An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Up‑to‑date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing an application for a new check.
