Club Steward – Sailing club, Cornwall. Closes 31 May

We are seeking a friendly, reliable and customer focused club steward to manage our bar and to support the day to day running of our clubhouse and events. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people in a relaxed coastal environment and takes a pride in providing excellent service to members and visitors.

Key responsibilities:

• Opening and closing the club
• Ordering Stock, stock control and cellar management
• Supporting events and social functions
• Handling cash with associated balancing and banking
• Compliance with Licencing and Health & Safety requirements

You should have:

• Previous Bar management or stewardship experience in the hospitality sector or similar.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience of employing and managing staff
• A willingness to work evenings and weekends and occasional bank holidays
• The ability to work independently and to lead a small team
• Initiative and good organisational skills
