Senior Manager – Controls Assurance (12‑month FTC)

My client is a global leader in consultancy with operations across the UK, from Scotland to the South Coast.

Jefferson Tiley are assisting with the hire of a Senior Manager to focus on Controls Assurance for a 12‑month FTC. The role is based in Manchester, and we are seeking someone experienced with an entrepreneurial mindset and approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multiple assignments of high complexity and variety, working closely with and supporting more senior members of the team in the strategic development of the Controls assurance business, focusing on strategy, driving marketing, and business development.
• Undertake and lead projects around the delivery of SOX testing, designing and implementing controls, and other ad‑hoc services.
• Work independently and be accountable for the delivery of the project to the Partner for review, including determination of resource requirements, monitoring progress against budget and timeframes, reviewing work of more junior members of staff, and resolving issues prior to Partner review.
• Provide support to and drive departmental issues, including coaching and feedback to more junior members of staff, ensuring compliance with the stream’s policies and procedures and the firm’s risk‑management procedures.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, MIIA or CCAB, or equivalent.
• Experience of SOX or UK internal controls frameworks.
• Awareness of compliance, legislative and market issues relevant to client businesses.

Preferred Experience

• Background or experience of working in a consultancy.
• Senior management experience delivering similar roles elsewhere.
• Experience writing proposals for new clients and attending pitches.

£65‑70k (depending on experience) + benefits, including car allowance.

Interviews will take place via Teams, with the final stage in person.
