Registered Nurse – Nights

Overview

Registered Nurse – Nights at Westbourne Tower Care Home in Bournemouth. You will support residents and act as Person in Charge when the Manager is not present, ensuring high standards of care throughout your shift.

Responsibilities

• Undertake nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions.
• Advise families of residents and GPs on any changes in condition, keeping them informed and involved in ongoing care decisions.
• Deploy and supervise staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the duty period and residents receive required care.
• Provide accurate assessment and planning to uphold high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of experience and up‑to‑date knowledge of care, supported by relevant post‑basic studies/qualification.
• Display good interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.
• Have sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.

Requirements

• ADBS Disclosure check – cost covered by Avery Healthcare.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
• Submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service (Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, Exceptions Order 1975).
