Healthcare Assistant Community Healthcare (Bank)
Bank Contract: working early, late, twilights and night shifts, 7 days a week.
Location: Harrogate and the Hambleton and Richmond area.
Salary: £13.33 per hour.

We are looking for Healthcare Assistants to work with our community based team in Harrogate and the Hambleton and Richmond area.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care and support for patients’ daily needs including palliative and end‑of‑life care.
- Use good communication and interpersonal skills to work with patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals.
- Follow care plans, policies and procedures including infection control and safety guidelines.
- Perform basic clinical skills such as medication administration and monitoring within the scope of your training and competence.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with volunteers.
- Maintain accurate records and document care provided.
- Respect patient dignity, hygiene and safeguarding, including care after death.
- Handle manual tasks safely and use equipment to support patient independence.
- Provide flexibility to support different teams and tasks, including meals, housekeeping and general patient comfort.
- Use your own vehicle and keep a current driving licence to travel between community sites.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Current driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Previous experience or training in nursing assistants or care work (e.g., support worker, homecare, NHS).
- Understanding of infection control, safeguarding and patient confidentiality.
- Ability to manage stress and adaptability to shift work including nights and weekends.
- Good communication skills and a caring attitude.
- Competent in basic clinical tasks such as medication administration and monitoring.
