R&D Engineering Assistant (1 year contract – renewable)

Our client is a leading American brand name in the field of consumer electronics, with more than 100 years in existence and more than 2,000 employees globally. We have an immediate opening for a 1 year contract position of:

(1 year contract – renewable)

Responsibilities

• Supporting Engineers in Singapore’s Development centre to build and support prototypes, test fixtures, and development setups internally and with external vendors.
• Conduct testing and validation of new products, prototypes, and engineering concepts.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, test reports, and technical documentation.
• Manage procurement of laboratory equipment, tools, and consumables required for development activities.
• Maintain laboratory facilities and equipment to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Requirements

• Diploma or ITE qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Practical skills in soldering and working with electronic/mechatronic assemblies.
• Experience coordinating with vendors for prototype fabrication, PCB assembly, or test setup development.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment maintenance, purchasing activities, and product testing; experience in spot welding, battery products, or mechatronics testing is an advantage.

• Office location will be at Alexandra Technopark
• Working hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm (slightly flexible)
