Charity Shop Supervisor

We are looking for a motivated, energetic and dynamic individual to act as Deputy Shop Manager, assisting the Shop Manager to run an attractive, profitable charity shop to generate funds for activities supporting Manchester’s older people. This role will be based at our charity shop in Didsbury, with the possibility of overtime at our shop in Northenden.

• To assist the manager, generate income from the charity shop for the benefit of older people in the city of Manchester.
• To be responsible for the management of a charity shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, including the supervision of volunteers, the management and pricing of the stock, and the taking of cash from sales.
• The ideal candidate will be honest, trustworthy and have: Retail experience
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Good record keeping skills
• Good standard of numeracy
• Age Concern Manchester (trading as Age UK Manchester) is an independent charity that supports older people in Manchester City Council. We have supported older people since 1976.
• We have a wide range of services to support our communities, including care services, counselling, Advice, hospital discharge support and more. We have five shops, which raise vital funds to support older people. We have an exciting opportunity to make a real difference at our shop in Didsbury.
