Assistant Director –(ASC) Home First and Provider Services

3-month contract | Immediate start

£600–£700 per day

Inside IR35 (via umbrella)

Are you ready to step into a pivotal leadership position where your impact will be felt across an entire borough? As Assistant Director – Home First and Provider Services, you will report into senior leadership and take ownership of a high‑profile portfolio, leading 260 staff and a £12m budget. This is a rare opportunity for you to drive transformation across integrated health and social care services while shaping outcomes for some of the most vulnerable residents. As Assistant Director – Home First and Provider Services, you will be at the forefront of change, working closely with senior NHS stakeholders and leading critical CQC regulated services.

You will play a central role in delivering a major transformation programme, ensuring services are innovative, high performing, and truly person‑centred.

Your role as Assistant Director – Home First and Provider Services:

  • Lead strategic direction and transformation across hospital discharge, reablement, OT, and provider services
  • Drive integration with NHS partners to deliver seamless, high‑quality care pathways
  • Oversee performance, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance across complex services
  • Inspire and lead a large, multidisciplinary workforce to achieve outstanding outcomes
  • Manage a £12m budget, ensuring value for money and robust governance

Your experience as an Assistant Director – Home First and Provider Services:

  • Proven track record leading large‑scale adult social care services and transformation programmes
  • Strong experience of integrated health and social care delivery within complex systems
  • Deep knowledge of the Care Act 2014, safeguarding, and statutory responsibilities
  • Demonstrable success managing significant budgets, workforce, and operational performance
  • Ability to influence at senior level in politically sensitive and high‑profile environments
