Site HSE Advisor – 12-Month contract

We’re seeking an experienced Site HSE Advisor to support a major Liverpool Bay decommissioning and carbon capture project, based in Talacre, Wales.

Salary: £550 per day (Outside IR35). Location: Talacre, Wales – fully on site with occasional Saturday morning requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive HSE awareness through workforce engagement and training initiatives.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor contractor and equipment compliance.
• Manage risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis, and safe work practices.
• Oversee Permit‑to‑Work systems and hazardous material controls.
• Report on HSE performance, track KPIs and assist with incident investigations.
• Promote environmental compliance and sustainability throughout site operations.

Must‑have Requirements

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in HSE or engineering‑related field.
• Several years’ experience within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Knowledge of onshore project construction, regulations and standards.
• Ability to manage safety systems and risk controls effectively.

Nice‑to‑have Skills

• Experience with IOGP and IMCA contractor standards.
• Previous involvement in EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation, and Commissioning) phases.
• Flexibility to support occasional Saturday working requirements.
