You willberesponsible forfood preparation and kitchen operations, supporting the Catering Manager in delivering consistent food quality and service.

Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality meals and snacks for students, staff, and visitors in line with menu specifications.
- Ensurefood is prepared, presented, and served to a high standard whilemaintainingconsistency andportioncontrol.
- Comply withall food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations, including HACCP procedures.
- Assistwith menu planning and the development of nutritious, appealing meal options suitable for a college environment.
- Monitorfood stock levels andassistwith ordering, receiving, and storing deliveries appropriately.
- Minimisefood waste through effective stock rotation andportionmanagement.
- Maintaina clean, safe, andorganisedkitchen environmentat all times.
- Operatekitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Support the catering team during service periods to ensure an efficient and customer-focused operation
- Engage positively with students and staff, providing excellent customer service and responding professionally to feedback.
- Assistwithspecial events, themed menus, open days, and hospitality functions asrequired.
- Workcollaboratively with colleagues to meet service targets, budgets, and cateringobjectives.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in a professional catering or educational environment.
- Level3 Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledgeof food allergens and dietary requirements.
- Abilityto work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strongteamwork and communication skills.
- Passion for delivering nutritious, high-quality food and excellent customer service
