Your New Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning and development within the classroom. You will work closely with teachers to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment, providing both whole-class and small-group support.Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils with their learning and development
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Working with small groups or individual pupils
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Recent experience working within a primary school setting
- A positive, proactive and flexible approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Hays
