Specialty Doctor Ophthalmology

Responsibilities

• Specialty Doctor in Ophthalmology, East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust; work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, chiefly supporting the outpatient ophthalmic service.
• Clinic-based duties covering multi-specialty services including urgent care; opportunity to develop surgical skills in theatre in the future.
• Work at Bexhill Hospital and Eastbourne District General Hospital as required to support a modern ophthalmic service.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience: Completed at least four years’ full-time postgraduate training (or equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis), with at least two years in a relevant specialty, or equivalent experience and competencies.

Registration

• GMC registration with a licence to practise

Disclosure and Barring Service

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Salary

£63,696 to £102,689 per annum, pro rata
