Job Description

The Employment Solicitor will be:

  • Advising clients on a broad range of employment law matters
  • Managing Employment Tribunal claims from inception through to conclusion
  • Working with employers on disciplinary, grievance and capability matters
  • Advising on discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal issues
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and procedures
  • Delivering training sessions and legal updates to clients
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Helping on business development and networking initiatives
  • Working closely with colleagues across the wider employment team
  • Contributing to the continued growth of the Leeds practice

The Successful Applicant

The Employment Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor with 1 to 5 years PQE in employment law
  • Experienced in managing Employment Tribunal matters
  • Comfortable advising on both contentious and non contentious employment issues
  • Commercially aware with strong client relationship skills
  • An excellent communicator with strong drafting abilities
  • Keen to participate in business development activities
  • Able to work collaboratively within a high performing team
  • Motivated to develop their career within a large national practice
