What you will do:
- Undertake complex assessments, reviews, and safeguarding enquiries in line with the Care Act 2014 and local authority procedures
- Provide adaptable support across multiple teams to manage diverse demands, including hospital discharge, community, and locality-based work
- Lead on high-risk cases, ensuring risk management is sound and relying on defensible decision-making
- Support and mentor social workers, offering insightful case consultations and championing evidence-based practice
- Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams, including colleagues in health, housing, and voluntary sector partnerships
Person Specification
- To succeed in this role, you must have a Degree in Social Work or an equivalent recognised qualification
- You should be registered with Social Work England
- You should have a sound understanding of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Equality Act 2010
- You should also have a solid grasp of safeguarding frameworks and local authority statutory duties
