We are currently looking for enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Band 5 Staff Nurses to join the Private Patient Medical Day Unit (PPMDU) at the Royal Marsden in Sutton. You will need to be a 1st level registered nurse, Demonstrable previous Oncology experience and experience in the administration of IV medications and chemotherapy is essential. Intravenous cannulation and venepuncture are desirable, however full training will be given. In addition you will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, enthusiastic and an effective team member committed to providing the highest level of service for our patients.

Responsibilities
To plan, document, deliver and evaluate evidence‑based nursing care for patients in a responsible and efficient way, which has been drawn up in conjunction with the co‑ordinator of the shift.
To develop a greater awareness and understanding of the needs of patients with cancer and the different treatment modalities administered within the unit.
To develop an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of managing a shift with the guidance of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.
