Experience and qualifications

Experience of working in Neurology at a consultant level and appropriate accreditation is desirable. It is expected that the candidate has sufficient experience in stroke & TIA, stroke thrombolysis including acute interpretation of CTA and thrombectomy decision making. Candidates with good experience will be considered including candidates who have submitted their paperwork for CESR and are awaiting accreditation to be included in the Specialist Register in Neurology.

Main duties of the job

The Programmed Activities (10 PA) will be agreed with the SDU director and will form the basis of the job plan. The job plan is not fixed and can be further negotiated by the successful candidate, providing the needs of the service are met. The trust actively participates in job planning prospectively – every year in advance from January to December.

  • To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit
