Job title: Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator Job type: Permanent Location: Letchworth Working hours: Full-Time / 37.5hrs per week Annual Salary: £34,125 – £42,900 per annum (DOE)   Our award-winning client based in Letchworth are currently looking for a highly experienced Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator to join their team on a Permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high quality fabricated components, ensuring a high level of precision, adaptability, and craftmanship.    Main duties as a Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator: – Manufacture and assemble sheet metal components for prototype and production work – Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings and specifications – Operate advanced machinery including press brakes, laser cutters, and fabrication equipment – Carry out welding (including MIG/TIG) and finishing to a high standard – Work across a range of materials including stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel – Collaborate with project managers and engineers to meet customer requirements – Ensure all work complies with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100 – Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment   What’s needed in this role: – Significant hands-on experience in TIG and MIG welding on thin gauge materials – Proven sheet metal fabrication experience – Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings confidently – Strong attention to detail and a practical problem-solving approach – City & Guilds qualifications in Welding and Fabrication or an Engineering Apprenticeship — an advantage – Actively seeks opportunities for continuous improvement – Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling as required   What’s in it for you:– 25 days of annual leave– Regular overtime available at x1.5 rate– Bonus scheme– Pension scheme– The opportunity to work in a highly revered precision engineering company   Please apply within…
