The Opportunity

Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way organisations operate. The question is no longer whether to adopt AI, but how to do so securely, responsibly and in a way that delivers genuine commercial value.

Our client is one of Europe’s most entrepreneurial and fast-growing brand businesses, recognised for its ambitious leadership, commercial agility and long-term investment in growth. As AI becomes an increasingly important part of its future, the business is seeking an experienced AI Governance & Responsible AI Consultant to help establish a practical governance framework that enables innovation while protecting the organisation, its people and its intellectual property.

Working closely with senior leadership and a newly established AI Governance Committee, you will help define the organisation’s AI strategy, governance framework and best practice. This is a highly visible assignment where your recommendations will directly influence how AI is adopted across the business.

  • Conduct a comprehensive audit of AI tools and AI usage across the organisation.
  • Review existing practices and identify opportunities to strengthen governance and oversight.
  • Assess risks relating to data protection, confidentiality, intellectual property, cyber security and regulatory compliance.
  • Recommend appropriate AI platforms, governance controls and approval processes.
  • Develop an AI governance framework, including an authorised AI tools register.
  • Draft practical AI policies, standards and guidance for employees.
  • Advise on the responsible adoption of enterprise AI solutions, including Microsoft Copilot where appropriate.
  • Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders and present recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Help establish a sustainable AI governance model that balances innovation, productivity and risk management.

Personal Attributes

  • Commercially minded with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Able to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior executives and cross-functional leadership teams.
  • Able to balance innovation, governance and commercial objectives while delivering practical, proportionate recommendations.
