Protocol Education is looking for an enthusiastic Autism Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist school in Ferryhill, Durham. You’ll support pupils with Autism and additional SEND needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning while building confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

The role
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions
- Encourage communication and emotional wellbeing
- Support pupils with classroom activities
- Help maintain routines and positive behaviour
- Adapt resources to meet individual learning needs
- Work alongside teachers, therapists and pastoral teams
- Promote independence and resilience
