Tameside | September Start | Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm

Every child deserves the right support to succeed, and at New Directions we’re looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who can make that difference. Starting in September, you’ll join a welcoming primary school in the Corrie area of Tameside, providing tailored support to pupils with SEND in a rewarding full‑time role.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND, adapting learning to meet individual needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to implement tailored support strategies and interventions.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, helping to promote engagement, confidence and progress throughout the school day.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has previous experience supporting children with SEND, ideally within a UK primary school.
  • Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Is patient, proactive, reliable and committed to making a positive difference to children’s learning and wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children with SEND is essential.
  • Experience working within a UK school setting is highly beneficial.
  • Available to work full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, from September.
