Data Protection Lawyer, In-House, London

Our client is seeking a data protection lawyer to be based in London. Extensive experience with data privacy regulation and practice is expected, including GDPR and UK DPA specifically. CIPP/E certification is strongly preferred.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Lead the implementation of privacy and data protection agreements, policies, and procedures.
• Review and negotiate data processing clauses.
• Conduct legitimate interest, risk, and privacy impact assessments.
• Provide privacy training for colleagues.
• Oversee responses to data subject access requests and regulatory inquiries.
• Advise on global privacy developments.

Required Qualifications:

• Background in a top-tier transactional firm or equivalent in-house role.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, UK DPA, and other global privacy laws.
• Experience drafting and negotiating data privacy documentation and handling privacy-related issues in a global business context.
• Proven ability to manage data privacy processes.
