Are you an experienced Gas Engineer looking to take your career in a new direction?

This is an opportunity to move away from the tools and into a rewarding role where you’ll use your technical expertise to develop the next generation of engineers. Previous training experience isn’t essential—we’re looking for someone with strong industry knowledge and the right attitude to coach and mentor others.

Working with one of the UK’s leading technical training providers, you’ll deliver practical and classroom-based training to apprentices entering the gas pressure management sector, helping them develop the knowledge and skills needed to work safely across the UK’s gas infrastructure.

The Role

  • Deliver technical training in gas pressure management
  • Support apprentices throughout their learning journey
  • Deliver both classroom and practical workshop training
  • Assess competence through practical and knowledge-based assessments
  • Coach, mentor and provide constructive feedback
  • Ensure training is delivered safely and in line with current industry standards
  • Help develop future gas engineers working on the UK’s gas networks

We’re Looking For

You’ll ideally have experience in areas such as:

  • Gas distribution or gas transmission
  • Pressure regulating installations
  • Pipeline operations and maintenance
  • Gas network fault finding
  • Gas asset maintenance
  • Gas pressure management
  • Safe operation of gas infrastructure

Previous experience as a trainer or assessor is beneficial but not essential.

Ideally You’ll Have

  • At least 3 years’ industry experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of gas pressure systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion for developing others
  • SHEA Gas Passport (preferred)
  • Level 2 Gas Mains Distribution qualification would be advantageous
  • Experience with Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) systems is a bonus.

What’s On Offer?

  • Excellent salary
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Structured training and ongoing development
  • Opportunity to move into a long-term training career
  • Join one of the UK’s leading technical training organisations
  • Stable, growing business with genuine career progression

If you’re an experienced Gas Engineer looking for a fresh challenge where you can pass on your knowledge and make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
