An exciting opportunity has arisen within the stroke department. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to deliver Hyper Acute stroke specialist care.

You will be joining a team of Clinical nurse specialists who are now covering the service 24/7. We have recently increased our medical cover to assist the Stroke Nurses with FAST positive patients 24/7.

This is a very exciting time for Stroke as we have centralised the Stroke services are working towards expanding the Thrombectomy service.

Secondment will be considered for internal candidates – If you are successful after interview, you must obtain approval from your current line manager to accept the offer.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP., As Stroke Specialist Nurse the post holder will practice under the direction of the Stroke Services Team Leader, working interdependently within their scope of clinical practice and in conjunction with other relevant clinical leads. The post holder will assist with clinical development in maintaining and improving all aspects of clinical governance, evidence based practice and quality assurance within the Stroke Service.

To provide clinical coordination in the service delivered to patients diagnosed with Stoke or TIA within University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust and in conjunction with our partnership Trusts.
