The Harborne Hospital, opened in 2024, is a purpose‑built facility delivering specialist care across cardiac, cancer, orthopaedic and complex surgical services. If you are a Student Nurse seeking to build confidence, develop clinical skills and remain connected to acute care while studying, or you are an experienced Healthcare Assistant in an acute hospital, this role provides flexibility to work around your commitments and offers hands‑on experience in a supportive setting.
What You’ll Do
- Support nursing and medical teams with patient care, including observations and accurate clinical documentation.
- Provide personal care with dignity and respect, ensuring patients feel safe, comfortable and informed.
- Assist with chaperoning and support a range of clinical procedures.
- Help maintain a well‑organised ward, including stock management and equipment readiness.
- Communicate clearly with patients and colleagues, escalating concerns and supporting infection prevention practices.
What You’ll Bring
- Currently studying towards a Nursing degree or hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Care Certificate.
- Experience working in an acute hospital or general ward setting.
- Clear and confident communication skills in English.
- A compassionate and reliable approach with a strong commitment to patient care.
